Davutpasa Campus
Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences
Yildiz Technical University
Davutpasa Campus is a concrete example of a living, sustainable, and barrier-free campus. This modern, nature-friendly campus has a deep-rooted history. Dating back to the Byzantine period, it was a military settlement serving military and palace ceremonies.
Once you reach Davutpasa Campus, it is easy to find the faculty building. The Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences is located on the north side of the campus.
Address: Çifte Havuzlar, YTÜ-Davutpaşa Kampüsü, 34220 Esenler/İstanbul, Türkiye
The metro station (M1A - YTU Campus Station) is very close to Gate A (approximately 200 mt by foot). It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the faculty building from Gate A. Additionally, there are buses that pass near the faculty building.
Transportation in Instanbul
During your trip we advise you to use public transport and especially the tram to get to the old town. This will allow you to move quickly at a lower cost and save time because Istanbul is really bottled. At peak hours (between 8 am and 9:30 am, and between 5 pm and 8 pm) it is almost impossible to travel by car.
Useful application: To help you move around Istanbul we recommend using the City Mapper application. Google Maps is not bad either, but it’s less complete.
The Istanbul kart
In order to use all public transportation in Istanbul (boats, subways, buses, tramways, funiculars), you will need a rechargable magnetic card, aka Istanbul Kart. You can purchase it at small kiosks near metro stations, piers, and also bus stations. It costs 165 TL. Most trips cost approximately 50 TL each way, so keep that in mind when uploading credit on it. For more information you can visit the website of the municipality: https://www.iett.istanbul/en
If can also buy a card with a limited number of trips. They are available in front of the turnstiles.
Tram
On the European side, there are two lines in service, the T1 line from Kabataş allows easy access to Sultanahmet and the T4 line that goes North – West of the city. It runs from 6 am to 11 pm. Trams in Istanbul are very clean and air-conditioned.
If you’d like to explore the old town, we recommend line T1. It is the cheapest and fastest way to get to the old town.
